The program is expected to reduce the basic commodity price disparities across Indonesia
The government of Indonesia intends to execute the one fuel policy in 54 locations throughout the country before 2018. The policy has already been implemented in 23 locations. The program is expected to reduce the basic commodity price disparities across Indonesia, as the fuel prices also affect the disparity.
Ignasius Jonan, Energy Minister, said that the government is focused on working on the regions that are left behind, advanced regions, and outskirt regions, better known as 3T in the one-price fuel policy. He added that in order to successfully implement the program in 3T areas, the government would need a fuel distributor agency, modular fuel service stations, premium and diesel fuel agents or APMS, special APMS tanks, and a mini fuel service station.
