BP Expects Rising Energy Demand to 2030

BP expects global energy to rise between now and 2030 despite ongoing efficiency gains, driven by growth in non-OECD countries. In Energy Outlook 2030, the oil major predicts global energy demand growth of 1.6% annually, almost all of which will come from non-OECD countries: OECD nations are forecast to increase consumption by just 4% in the next 20 years.


KPS Reports on Successful Year

Leading petrol piping maker KPS has reported on a hugely successful year, in which the firm released an unprecedented volume of new products. Solutions hitting the market included a conductive tank chamber and dispenser chamber in January, with both products now accompanied by additional dispenser chamber models and an underground fill box. 


France: Gerard Lamarche Appointed to Total Board as Thierry de Rudder Resigns

The board of Directors at Total have appointed Gerard Lamarche (pictured) as a director following the resignation of Thierry de Rudder. De Rudder, who served on the board since 1999, resigned for personal reasons, and was thanked by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Christophe de Margerie for his contribution to the company. 


USA: Reasor Appointed to Philips 66 Board

ConocoPhillips has announced two key management appointments for both Phillips 66, the new downstream-focused energy firm to be created when the company splits later this year, and the upstream arm which will retain the ConocoPhillips name. Clayton Reasor (pictured) has been named as Vice President for Investor Relations, Strategy and Corporate Affairs at Phillips 66, while Ellen DeSanctis will serve as Vice President for Investor Relations.


Chevron Issues Profit Warning for Q4

Chevron has issued a warning on profits for the fourth quarter of its financial year, as falling margins in refining on the Gulf Coast and lower crude input volumes affected revenue for the integrated major. The company said it expects downstream operations to break even in the fourth quarter, though strong upstream operations could compensate for this.
