The new system will benefit customers by enhancing their personal security as well as facilitating the improvement of services
UAE’s leading operator of retail fuel service stations and commercial fueling services, ADNOC Distribution, is now expanding its SMART Tag installation facilities through new centers and mobile units serving customers throughout the country, as part of its ‘SMART Service Stations’ initiative and introduction of cashless ADNOC Wallet-linked payment options. The company is rolling out a superior Smart Tag system installed at a vehicle’s fuel tank inlet as part of an ongoing process of replacing Rahal Cards.
The potential for delays at peak travel times or due to high congestion is reduced by the new smart technology which speeds up and enhances the customer’s vehicle refueling experience.
SMART Tag installation centers are operating across ADNOC Distribution’s extensive network of service stations. Installations for vehicle fleets are also being carried out by mobile units across the UAE.
Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer at ADNOC Distribution, said: “In only a short space of time, we have installed 20,000 tags for customers eager to take advantage of state-of-the-art technology to quicken and enhance their refueling experience. As demand is rapidly increasing, we aim to install a significantly larger number of tags over the next two years. Our world class professionals are working to ensure that the system will immensely benefit our customers so that they will continue to enjoy the high standards of service to which they are accustomed.”
He also added that these SMART payment options will provide customers with added convenience and safety, enabling them to manage their accounts online. The new technology will also allow them to set budgets for each fueling transaction and simplify the refueling process.
In line with the ADNOC Group’s 2030 smart growth strategy, the company is committed to continue developing their business and further optimizing performance. Currently, ADNOC Distribution has 210 SMART stations operating throughout the UAE. ByQ2’2018, the company is planning to convert all its service stations to SMART technology. PWKD09102017
