The Philippines represents the most active independent deregulated market in South East Asia. It is a fuel retail market that will continue to see more consolidation and change over the coming years. It is not surprising that PetrolWorld have already stated, that this country will be well represented at the Asia Fuel Retail Conference next June 2018 in Kuala Lumpur.
Myanmar is a key focus of a new fuel retail market about to go through radical change. Earlier this year, PetrolWorld had the privilege to be guest of Puma Energy in Yangoon for the official opening of their new fuel storage and distribution plant, a key element of the new fuel supply chain linking Myanmar with the international fuels market. Again we can expect to see Myanmar feature at next years Asia Fuel Retail Conference. In early 2018, PetrolWorld will be working on current developments taking place in many parts of Asia. This will include Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, China and Japan. Meanwhile, here in Malaysia, all eyes are on the Spring Election which will be a key marker for the future direction of fuel retail deregulation.
