An app available on both Apple and Android phones, CaltexGO, enables consumers to pay for fuel without having to leave their vehicle.
The first in South-east Asia, Singapore launched this payment mode, which will also help users locate Caltex fuel service stations as well as receive alerts on offers and loyalty points. Users will also be able to redeem their loyalty points on the phone, the end of the year. "Our customers tell us that the main pain point when refueling is queuing to pay," said Caltex marketing support manager John Sam.
“The app will be rolled out to other markets in the region in the next few months,” said Mr. Shahid Ahmed, products manager of Chevron, the parent company of Caltex. "It took us one year to develop this," he said, but refused to disclose the investment sum. Singapore motorists within the next six months would be able to use this payment mode when driving in Malaysia. Source: Strait Times PWKD26092018
