Russia: Gazpromneft-Aero & SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji Fueling Agreement

The agreement is regarding fueling in Russia

An agreement has been signed between the jet fuel operator of Gazprom neft, Gazpromneft-Aero and SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji, a jet fuel supplier in Turkey, which provides for the fueling of partner airlines of SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji in airports where Gazpromneft-Aero operates.

Gazpromneft-Aero provided SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji with access to its network of airports in Russia, as per the agreement, and started fueling Pegasus Airlines in the Tolmachevo International Airport (Novosibirsk)

“Tourism airline traffic between Russia and Turkey is gradually recovering,” said Vladimir Egorov, the General Director of Gazpromneft-Aero. During the first half of 2017, the total volume of our fueling in Turkey amounted to 13 thousand tons of jet fuel, which is triple the figure for the same period in 2016. Cooperation with SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji is a crucial step towards the development of Gazpromneft-Aero’s international business. Going forward, we hope to further expand our cooperation with SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji in fueling its customers in airports in Russia and the CIS airports where Gazpromneft-Aero operates, as well as Russian airlines in airports of Turkey.”

“Collaboration between Socar Turkey and Gazpromneft-Aero is of high importance to us. We are confident that this will lead to a more comprehensive cooperation in every possible business line between the two companies in the future. The long lasting and strong relationship between Russia and Turkey will provide a solid ground for developing this cooperation,” said Alp Karahan, the International Sales Director at SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji.
