‘Shell Rimula Apprentice of the Year’ program to be presented as part of the partnership
The exclusive licensee to the Shell brand in Australia, Viva Energy Australia Pty Ltd (“Viva Energy”), has formed a partnership with the Kangan Institute, which is a Melbourne-based Technical and Further Education provider.
Through formal training in the use of world-class products, Viva Energy will offer Kangan apprentices unparalleled access to technical experts in automotive lubrication as well as development opportunities. They will be provided access to Shell Global Expert forums and the Shell V-Power Supercars Team, and ongoing technical assistance through a Docklands-based team.
Viva Energy has the benefit of more than 100 years of technical experience and expertise in delivering market-leading Shell branded lubricants to consumers, as one of Australia’s leading energy companies in Australia and through its licensee arrangement with Shell.
Viva Energy will gain access to Kangan Insitute’s industry leading facilities at the Automotive Centre of Excellence, as a result of the partnership, in addition to their world class heavy duty diesel dyno facility to test and prove lubricant solutions that deliver savings to customers in the real world.
Viva Energy’s Chief Executive Officer, Scott Wyatt said, “Shell is globally renowned for its quality fuels and lubricant products, which results from the millions of dollars it continues to invest in research and development. Kangan apprentices will not only have the opportunity to use leading products, but will have direct access to industry experts who have vast experience with fuel products.”
Mr. Wyatt added that the advances in lubricant technology will only continue, and as the life blood of machines, it is imperative that today’s students keep abreast of developments. Shell is confident that the partnership and support will add real value in the classroom and in workshops. PWKD11102017
