Chile: Oxxo Launches First Opening In Santiago

Convenience store chain, Oxxo, owned by Mexican firm Femsa, has started operations in Chile, with 12 outlets.

Carlos Díaz, CEO of Oxxo in Chile, said, "In this first initial stage we focus on remodeling our existing businesses and to analyze in this process what kind of locations we might consider future according to the lessons learned from this stage. In the future we plan to maintain a network of stores that comply with a logic that allows us to better serve customers and be closer and accessible to them.”

Once results are seen to the changes introduced, possible expansion to other areas of the country will be evaluated, including opening more outlets. PWKD03082017
