The partnership is in relation to a new fundraising campaign
As part of new fundraising partnership between ARCO and Goodwill Industries of San Diego County, customers interested in making cash donations to GIS can do so at station registers.
In the fundraising partnership event, one-hundred-and-eighteen Arco fuel service stations and ampm stores in San Diego and Imperial counties will be participating.
Toni Giffin, GISD executive vice president, said “We recognize that ARCO had many choices when selecting a charitable partner. ARCO’s research deemed our organization as the one making the largest difference in our community. We are incredibly humbled by this finding and intend to use the resulting funds to improve the employability in San Diego.”
“We are proud to work with Goodwill San Diego and are excited to give back to the communities we serve. We believe the funds raised will supply GISD with additional resources to further their mission,” said Robert Bezner, senior director of brand management for ARCO.
According to a GISD statement, those who donate to the non-profit GISD when making their purchases at ARCO will help further the organization’s mission of “providing employment and training opportunities to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.” Source: Times of San Diego PWKD03102017
