In this new role, he will guide fuel companies on communication standards
The consortium for global data exchange standardization within the fuel industry, PIDX International, has appointed Implico managing partner Michael Martens to its Membership Committee. He will advise fuel companies on PIDX communication standards in this capacity.
A non-profit organization, PIDX (Petroleum Industry Data Exchange) standardizes the exchange of electronic data between fuel companies to simplify commerce throughout the industry. It was founded in 1987 and headquartered in the USA. Free communications standard for the entire supply chain from well to service station is offered by the organization.
Peter Allwinton, Chair of the Membership Committee at PIDX International said, "Michael Martens was predestined for a role on the Membership Committee, as the Implico Group has already been working extensively on standardized data communications for many years and has been actively promoting this on the German market.”
Two further experts from the fuel industry in Europe and the USA on the PIDX International Membership Committee are joined by Michael Martens. Said Michael Martens, ”I am very much looking forward to joining the Membership Committee and to the tasks that lie ahead. As the managing partner of a software and service company for the downstream sector, continuing to promote standardized data exchange is a matter very close to my heart." PWKD13042017
